Ian Spiteri Bailey graduated in Law in 1993 and commenced his own private practice immediately. Having been in practice for 8 years, Ian furthered his studies in EU Employment Legislation at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2004. Legal advisor to numerous trade unions as well as legal advisor to various employers in Malta, Ian boasts of a wide practice in employment law and industrial relations.
Ian’s 28 years of legal practice has also included 6 years chairing the MEPA Appeals Board, 5 years as Chairman of the Small Claims Tribunal, 5 years as Justice Commissioner, 4 years as p/t Judicial Assistant to the Chief Justice as well as 8 years of chairman Refugee Appeals Board. Having also practiced civil law, law of contracts, civil litigation, family law and company legislation amongst others, Ian’s main focus today is Employment & Industrial Relations Law.
