This BOLD declaration was made by the First Hall of the Civil Court in its decree upholding a warrant of prohibitory injunction filed by three Mater Dei Hospital employees following a decision taken by the MDH authorities to deduct their wages for participating, as is their right, in industrial action ordered by their union, UHM.

The Courts of Justice remain the important pillar for safeguarding one’s rights when authorities tend to err and abuse of power.

The employees were represented by Ian Spiteri Bailey and Victoria Cuschieri of Spiteri Bailey Advocates.
